When Microsoft announced Windows 10 in 2014, we all looked forward to seeing something even more appealing, other than the bringing back the legendary ‘Start’ menu. But unfortunately, we didn’t. Well, The company has finally decided to give its user interface a much needed overhaul–and it looks good.

The company announced a ‘Fluent Design System’ on Thursday at Build. This design system in question is geared towards delivering intuitive, harmonious and responsive experiences and interactions. Which means windows is about to get real fluid and snappy.

The keywords of this design are light, depth, motion, material, and scale. Microsoft further added that the next major update to Windows will be available this fall in its Creators Update. (See Screenshots Below)
