5 Things Acting President Yemi Osinbajo Did After Buhari Left For London by EDonHappen: 3:00pm On May 13, 2017
Buhari, who said the duration of his stay in London is uncertain as it would be determined by his doctors handed over to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo before leaving. Osinbajo will act in the capacity of the president while he is away. Buhari has already expressed confidence in Osinbajo’s capability to run the government smoothly in his absence.

Look Naija compiled five things Osinbajo did immediately Buhari travelled.



1. He presided over the 3rd Presidential Quarterly Business Forum Osinbajo declared open the 3rd Presidential Quarterly Business Forum which held at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja on Monday, May 8. In attendance were, minister of trade, investment and industry Okechukwu Enelamah, minister of finance Kemi Adeosun Minister of Finance, minister of budget and national planning Sen. Udo Udo Udoma, minister of information and culture Lai Mohammed and others.




2. He received a delegation led by Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state Governor Shettima led a high powered delegation on a ‘thank you’ visit after the release of 82 abducted Chibok girls. They were received by Osinbajo on behalf of Buhari. News of the girls’ release surfaced at the weekend.



3. He received the ambassador of the State of Israel and others Osinbajo received Guy Feldman, ambassador of the State of Israel, and Nadav D. Goren, deputy chief of mission, Embassy of Israel in his office at the State House Abuja on Monday, May 8.



4. He congratulated French president-elect, Emmanuel Macron On Monday, Osinbajo congratulated Macron on his victory at the weekend’s presidential election. He said the Buhari-led administration was looking forward to working closely with Macron to promote international cooperation, advance peace and security, consolidate mutual trade relations and strengthen economic partnership for the benefit of citizens of both countries.



5. He chaired the inter-ministerial committee on the Niger Delta On Tuesday, Osinbajo continued work as he chaired a meeting of inter-ministerial committee on the Niger Delta. In attendance were Ministry of Education, state government representatives and others.
