Chelsea are contemplating on redeveloping and expanding Stamford Bridge. The ambitious plan of the management is to expand the Bridge further to a capacity of about 60,000 seats and this plan has been estimated to cost the club a whopping £500million.

This redevelopment plan however will force the club to relocate to Wembley stadium or Twickenham and this relocation could see them use the selected make-shift stadium for about three years. The Blues will reveal their proposals at a consultation meeting to local residents and supporters at a Stamford Bridge exhibition running from June 30 to July 2.

The Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich is also considering digging down below street level to increase the capacity of the stadium which currently has maximum capacity of about 41,798 to about 60,000 and the project will have to be fully funded by the Russian billionaire. By implication, it means that the blue outfit will play away from home for about three years.
