Wanting to spice up your love-life with a simple swipe of the screen? Then try out Tinder! Here's everything you should know.

Tinder was introduced in 2012 with one simple purpose: to find you a date. Ever since it's been part of popular culture, written down and ridiculed, celebrated and condemned almost everywhere you will expect.

It's also hit close to 10 m daily users, 26 m matches a day, and more than 1.4 billion swipes a day.

What exactly is Tinder?

Tinder is an app-based dating network that enables you to create a profile, swipe left if you're not keen on someone but right if you are, chat with other people who equally like you back, and the rest depends on you!

There are many other features offered, like the option to Super Like someone's picture, Tinder Plus, group setups, and more.

How do I join?

If you want to sign up for Tinder, you can use your mobile number or your Facebook profile.

If you use your Facebook profile, your Tinder account will draw your pictures from your Facebook profile page. You can always switch your pictures in your profile.

How does Tinder operate?

Tinder is really a ridiculously easy application to navigate.
There are 3 screens on Tinder (just like Snapchat and even Shazam's latest redesign). The 1st screen is your profile where you can modify your pictures, your profile detail, and your settings.

In your settings, you can opt to pay for Tinder Plus, switch your location (Tinder Plus feature exclusively) or the number of kilometers away you're likely to go to get a match, the gender you have an interest in, the age range you have an interest in, the option to hide or perhaps show your profile on Tinder, the option to allow swiping with friends, the option to add in a username, change your notification settings, and the possibility to share your Tinder account,

The 2nd screen is the primary swiping screen in which you can swipe left and right, rewind a profile page if you swiped passed it too quickly (Tinder Plus feature exclusively), cut the line and be the leading profile in the area for Thirty Minutes in other to get more matches (Tinder Plus feature exclusively), and Super Like someone's profile page.

Just make sure whenever you're on this screen not to swipe left and right to get to other screens-- make use of the icons at the top or else you'll just be cycling over profiles. You can also gain access to your groups' section from this screen.

The 3rd screen is the chatting screen, which shows you all the paired conversations you're having with other people. You can tap to begin a conversation, scroll through your conversations below the screen, or perhaps search your matches at the top of the screen.

How can I start off a conversation with anyone?

You can only start a conversation with somebody if you've both equally liked one another's profiles.
If you really wished to get someone's attention, you could easily use the Super Like feature which will notify the person you've Super Liked that you're super curious about them.

What is Tinder Plus?

You can also keep secret your age as well as distance using Tinder Plus, manage who sees you, rewind your previous swipe if you swipe over a profile you like too quickly, and hide ads.

What does it cost?

Tinder is really 100% free to download. however, if you're really searching for romance or want that extra slightly boost, then you can pay for Tinder Plus.

There are 3 price models for Tinder Plus:

12 months for NGN 907.11/ month.

6 months for NGN 1,161/ month.

1 month for NGN 1,977/ month.
