It didnt work for me, I used Mary kay Mineral makeup and it took me months to get my skin back. It clogged my pores and gave me cysts. Sheer cover doesnt do shades for people darker than Halle Berry. |

I dont know specifically about sheer cover, but i use bare minerals and they have all shades to the darkest,it works 4 me,its sheer and very light weight, but it covers blemishes. In terms of naija weather, dont know how it will work when u sweat. |

afribeauty:is it just me or you guys not talking about the same mineral make-up i'm talking about? if someone offers me a bobbi brown foundation or loose powder to buy for less than 3000 naira do you think i'll buy it? or is the concept of fake products now foreign to the dealers themselves? |

Ladies, DO NIGERIAN gals use MINERAL MAKEUP? yes or no, (whats all this talk abt some gals been rich n others poor) Yes some Nigerian Ladies use mineral makeup, but in my own opinion, our dark skin shade dont carry off mineral makeup very well. Plus our weather dont help either. They are expensive, not stay on for long because of the hot weather. |

babyx: , right on the head!! I was actually looking for a yes or no answer and where to buy and how much it costs and not whether mineral makeup is for rich, poor girls or local champions ![]() afribeauty: HMM, NA WA SHA!!! Dis naija mentality of equating price with quality no wonder the country is the way it is, so poor lady no go rub powder make she too she follow fine abi na wetin?? [if someone offers me a bobbi brown foundation or loose powder to buy for less than 3000 naira do you think i'll buy it? or is the concept of fake products now foreign to the dealers themselves?

NEWS FLASH!!!! Bobby brown is made in china, Even Avon and Iman and sleek is made in Taiwan, the cost of producing one powder is probably 250 naira but they sell it to you for 3-5k, it is called marketing and not fake. |

blandish:i used that example cos she was insinuating mineral make-up is only for poor people. Mineral make-up is expensive as it is, so she either doesn't know what it is, or the one available is fake. |
Re: Mineral Make-up: Do Nigerian Girls Use It? by Nobody: 6:59pm On Jan 15, 2010 |
africhika:Yes their mineral/liquid/powder foundation broke me out. Took me months and accutane to cure my skin. Now I use Bobbi Browns foundation and powder. I dont wear makeup everyday, I try to let my skin breathe as much as possible. Mac makeup is also toxic for skin, though some lucky people can use it. I agree with you guys, its just like Gap making their clothes for 50p in India and China and selling it for 70 pounds and above in the UK. |
