if its a case such as Otobos and one pastor like that, many lawyers would have come to view their useless opinions. here is a case that needs fightingf for, a case, if fought for and justice is ensued could help save a life.

What I don't get is it becos she is a unizik graduate that's why its a topic
Or the other women who have died like dis aren't special

Her pregnancy is more superior to the local girl in the IDP camps who can't afford health care

Nigerians discriminate more than anyone else in the world
So unizik is the catchy thing here or that she died as normal ladies ve died during childbirth but since they didn't go to university it isn't news worthy. undecided

Oh my gosh, even in a zoo, animals are well catered for during delivery, this is what happens in a place called a jungle, what a shame, l witnessed same thing with another quack Doctor years ago when l was still in Nigeria, the idiot has a hospital close to my house, l recall 3 women died of birth related death in that his useless clinic, in one case they had an emergency, no oxygen for a new born baby, l was the one that they called, l drove my car with the baby and other health workers inside my car to another private clinic that has oxygen and they put it on the baby and the good news was that the baby survived but not so with the other 3 women who died due to the carelessness of these useless Doctor, l am glad that the clinic eventually closed down. Nigeria health care system sucks, what a shame sad

The family should accept my heartfelt condolence and may God Almighty comfort you. It is really very sad for any woman to die as a result of pregnancy. It is certainly a big loss to the family and the society at large as these will generally be young women who have their whole life ahead of them. Nigerians should begin to call medical , nursing, midwifery and other healthcare practitioners to account. Any maternal death should be investigated, root cause determined, preventative measures for future determined and shared through an appropriate medium and if there has been negligence or malpractice, the culprit brought to book through their relevant regulatory body and the legal justice system as required.

The Federal and state governments must make it mandatory for every maternal death to be reported by any facility where such occurred or by any medical practitioner who attended to the woman during the pregnancy by making relevant legislation. It should also arrange coroner services in every state to investigate maternal deaths auspiciously and make it an offence to bury any woman who died in pregnancy except the coroner has determined the cause of death, apportion blame if there is any and informed relevant authorities.

In the meantime, this bereaved family should inform the Nigeria Medical and Dental Council as well as Midwifery council and the relevant Commissioner of Health in the state. This will certainly not bring back your loved one but it may help prevent unnecessary death of another young woman (mother) in the future. God bless you.

24hrs? After the water breaks, the baby should be out within 12 hours. So if the dilation rate is slow she should be induced while the baby's heart rate is being monitored closely. As soon as the baby's heart rate starts to drop, a CS should be done immediately to save the baby and mama from any complications or death. As a matter of precaution, the CS consent should be signed along other paperworks as soon as they get to the hospital so there won't any form of emergency or rushing if it comes to that. That is how it is done in America.
