No to Okorocha's third term agenda

...no to 'my family, my family government'

There are strong indications that Governor Okorocha and his wife are neck deep in the plot to impose their son in-law, Uche Nwosu on Imolites as his successor. Massive uproar continues to rage over the rumoured endorsement and there's been overwhelming rejection of such proposition by majority of Imolites and even in Imo APC as they see it as a "third term for Okorocha" aimed at covering up his gross misrule.

Like a thunderbolt, the issue which is seen as a slap on the face of the people of Imo state, raised tension and led to instantaneous uproar and outspoken protests among the citizens and even APC party members have voiced their displeasure thereof.

Imolites can't have Okorocha force his annointed successor down our throats as this will be a furtherance of total privatising of Imo state resources, continous sharing of LGA funds and state allocations, dilapidated healthcare system, massive substandard infrastructure where there is any, upsurge in unemployment and insecurity, amongst other negative effects of misgovernance as his successor, whether Uche Nwosu or any other person, will continue with Okorocha's inept template. This is impending doom and slavery.

Imolites can't continue in this regrettable path of retrogression, unproductivity and penury that the citizenry wail bitterly about. The good and courageous people of Imo state should not and will not allow the tenets of democracy to be eroded, everyone has the right to vote and be voted for. Okorocha and his family members are not the ones who make up the Imo APC or Imo state , therefore members of the broom persuasion should uphold internal democracy and not let this seeming dictatorial imposition of Uche Nwosu or any other person as governorship candidate of the party. Imolites have learnt bitter lessons and must make sure that the state government will no longer be a private investment.

Let equity, fairness and steadfast adherance to democratic principles be the watch words. Incompetence and gross misrule must be stoned out with our votes at the party level and Imo state at large. Imolites must choose who will lead them be it governor, senators, House of Representatives members or House of Assembly members not a select few of the cabal that has held Imolites in bondage.
