Yar’adua Splits Pdp’, Opposition Parties’ Reps by AbuZola3(m): 10:07pm On Jan 12, 2010
A crack occurred in the walls of the House of Representatives on Tuesday as Peoples Democratic Party lawmakers and those in the opposition disagreed over the health of President Umaru Yar’Adua and his absence from the country.

The President has been out of the country to Jeddah , Saudi Arabia , for medical treatment in the last 51 days.

The House had taken a decision last week to publicly debate the President’s absence and the implications on governance in its plenary on Tuesday (yesterday).

Matters however took a dramatic twist when rather than the open debate, the Speaker of the House, Mr. Dimeji Bankole, called for an Executive Session (sitting in camera), where resolutions were taken on the development.
