Okun Land Full Of Professors But No Single University In The Land. by Nobody: 8:38am On May 21, 2017
There is no doubt about education being our industry, Okun land is full of professors.
With just five(5) local government areas plus part of Lokoja local government in Kogi west senatorial district, we can pride of these numbers achievements(professors).
How many state can pride of this kind of feat not to talk of a senatorial district?
Ekiti state is worthy of my mention in this regard though because it is on another league.
But the sad part of it is that there is no single university in Okun land.
..too bad!

If other tribes also accord education a priority the way yorubas do, the level of illiteracy in Nigeria will definitely reduce

Yes, what happen to the saying that charity begin at home. Nothing is wrong if they come together and challenge some of those billionairs we have around to contribute to the welfare of Okun land by building a community university if goverment failed to give us one.

To hold sway in accademic sector does not translate to politics. Dino melaye has his
weaknesses like any other human no doubt, but he remains the most vocal senator we currently have in that national assembly. While some people wished he is the one representing them because the one they voted for only sits there like an unbiased spectator.

Constituting nuisance to the government of the day and supporting the corrupt elements at the National Assembly is different from being vocal. How many bills has he sponsored to aid national development? What constituent project can you point to as his achievement? How has he affected the lives of common men of kogi west? You should be ashamed of yourself having that man as your senator

@Number 83: When did Dr. J.K OBAMIRO become a professor? Op, are you sure you did your due diligence well? Nice line-up of scholars anyway. I salute Prof. DAPO Folorunsho ASAJU. I have personally worked under him and I can say his type of scholars and university administrators is rare. Dr. OBAMIRO is also an erudite scholar in Business Administration and Operations Research. OBAMIRO is at LASU, and ASAJU is on leave from LASU to serve as the VC of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo. Both are great men!

There is nothing to be proud or defended about Dino and his activities at the NASS . The man is simply just a fraud and disgrace.
