I know it's crazy. I'm guessing cause headline is eye catching and the news is odd. I wish my other thread hit front page as easy as this.

They aren't involved in program.

NAN recalls that five states were captured in the current phase of water development, namely: Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Rivers states.

Akwa Ibom's actions are disgraceful. It doesn't make sense that we have so much money through taxes and allocation to be stalling when states with less means like Bayelsa and Edo have paid in full. After we get money the government should emulate Kano States 75 million Gallon water treatment plant.

Ps: Lol this old news actually made front page. I been sitting on story thinking nobody would care since it didn't get much attention on Premium Times.
so if d gov gets d money 4 ur mind u think he will actually use it judiciously?y raising ur hopes bro?

Its in their interests besides it's cautious opinionism. I'm not going to lose sleep over it. I don't drink anything but bottled water while im in Nigeria anyway. Do you believe the other states will be better with the cash?

since I was a kid, politicians always campaigned that providing water will b a campaign promise 2b fulfilled. we are in d 21st century, d EU is still trying 2 help our politicians fulfil that campaign promise.if u are familiar with fela's songs u will no a song which he sang. a few lines go thus:

"na so so water de for Africa
water in d air, water in d ground
water everywhere
but common water 2 drink e no de"

This isn't d first time money is being given 4 this type of project in Nigeria. don't b surprised that d states mentioned and all others also have their budgetary provision 4 water projects(cos d constitutional duty of providing water is that of States and LGs). after all these years with all d rain and rivers and monies spent, we are still talking of water when countries in d desert don't have water problem. I don't no were u grew up but in Nigeria when u hear money is allocated for something especially free funds from foreign donors, its always in d interest of d governors and their crew not d people
