When was Akwa Ibom created? The term 'calabar girls' is older than lots of nairalanders and even Akwa Ibom state.

Girls from former Cross River state including present day Akwa Ibom are referred to as 'Calabar' girls...same way you'll label any northerner 'aboki' or IPOB for any Igbo
