The word Biafria is a " banned" word in Nigeria.

Even historically based movies about Biafra are either banned or censored by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

As a Nigerian, if you gather under the name of Biafra, you will be shot and killed....no questions asked...is there any law that bans Biafra or the mention of Biafra? No....but stupidity needs no laws.

Nigerian students study Shakespeare but not the Nigeria Civil War....many young Nigerian's do not even know Nigeria fought a civil war where for the first time in history during the Cold War the Russians and the West ie Great Britain fought on the same side and supplied arms to one side, the Nigerian Government...Many are unaware of how Bakassi Peninsula was originally lost to Cameroon, or how the Military was able to pass laws that took the oil Weealth of the Nigerian Delta to a central account called the Consolidated Revenue Fund aka FAAC...Many are blissfully unaware what the Civil War brought about ...

Since the Civil War, the last time Nigerian's even discussed the Civil War openly was the launch of Chinu Achebe book "There Was A Country"...and it was the same emotions exhibited....ignorance...mockery....then more ignorance.

If anything Nmandi Kanu has made Nigerians discuss Biafra...who would have believed a mere "boy" would cause such a national discuss...a discourse that was off limits...unspoken....a taboo. Not a shot has been fired....but the entire security apparatus has been deployed to prevent a "sit at home" order that has closed down the markets in Onitsha, Aba and others?...If Nmandi Kanu can shut down markets....in the South East, then truly the message has currency....Yes you may mock him today, but three years ago you had not heard of him....but this year, you have offered him free space and publicity on your page and blog.....because you are afraid and scared he just may be right...

I personally want one Nigeria where all the tribes are able to live out their full potential without fear or favour. There is no tribe in Nigeria that is more blessed or lazy....no tribe was born educationally disadvantaged....If Nigeria does not want Nmandi Kanu to succeed..then Nigeria should allow every Nigerian succeed on his merits alone..not the tribe of his grandfather...

Hate him....Love him....mock him....it matters none....Nmandi Kanu has achieved in 2017 what Dim Ojukwu sought to sustain...Nmandi Kanu has succeeded because Nigeria has failed to translate it's 180m residents into equal citizens. Nigeria fought for the right of self determination in South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe even Palestine....but when Nigerian citizens gather...and mention Biafra...their own army kills them....in broad daylight....If a man seeks to kill his wife because she wants to discuss her "marriage" ...is the marriage not over?...can a man marry a dead partner?

There is already a Biafra....the question now is what will happen to this Biafra?....

I so post...
