Shocking Truths About Your Degree That Befuddles The Youths About Agriculture by Ade3000yrs(m): 2:31am On Jun 01, 2017
*Words Of Note To The Nigerian Youths, Degree Holders And About Agriculture And Enterprising Or Industrial Ventures!*_

*Throw Away That Degree Otherwise You Will Die Poor*

Most of the educated people in Nigeria are poor. Majority of the educated earn less than N55,000 for a salary before tax and other deductions. When the deductions are put into consideration, the net salary comes to around N50,000. The net salary then suffers from loan deductions of up to N15,000 leaving the salary at around N35,000. The landlord then demands for his N15,000 and monthly shopping takes away N10,000 leaving one with a N10,000. The bus will demand for N300 going to and from work and relatives get another N2,500. The whole salary is gone and borrowed money starts operating. The borrowed money includes short loans and salary advances.

The difference between poverty and prosperity is property. A prosperous person has property to his name while a poverty stricken person has no property to show. Using this understanding, therefore, most of the degree holders are poverty stricken, borrowing money to buy chicken and chips, pizza, and a car.

The biggest excuse for getting paid such low amounts of money and having to sit and work for another person for 30 days is THE DEGREE that one possesses and that’s all. This has made most of the degree holders very poor to poverty stricken and will die that way most likely. A degree holder does not know how to generate money unless that money is generated for the employer. A degree holder is so dependent on the salary that he can do anything to get a job but will not think of starting a business of his own to employ others.

Interesting Facts!

1. A degree holder is not prepared to sell chips, vegetables, garri, fruits, cold room business, grocery stores, pepper, tomatoes and day to day consumables but is very happy to work for hungry lion (companies).

2. A degree holder is not prepared to sell popcorn in the street but is very happy to work for Dangote outlet in the city and mum river-sides.

3. A degree holder is not prepared to sell second hand clothes but is very happy to be employed by Zenith Bank which the business of selling stocks and looking for customers in a scorching Sun.

4. A degree holder is not prepared to make N150,000 to #600,000 naira monthly doing his own business but is very happy to work in a banks till late hours getting paid between N25,000 to #250,000 naira monthly with a mortgage life hanging on loans with all the ambience accompanied with exotic furniture and flashy cars and classic home accessories and electronics.

5. A degree holder is not prepared to start a company and grow it in two to three years but will spend three years searching for a job.

6. A degree holder is not prepared to sell food to students but will be happy to be reporting to a boss with no qualifications as Office Assistant as long as he is paid between #30,000 Naira and #250,000 Naira for a salary.

7. A degree holder is so eager to get out of this country and work in another country than to spend time to develop his own country.

8. A degree holder staying in a foreign land (Nigerian) is very keen to condemn Nigeria but never contributing to the development of this country.

9. A Nigerian degree holder would rather sweep the streets of London or USA than start a business to make money in her father land – others work in people’s homes doing some work (cleaners).

10. A degree holder in Nigeria will watch porn on his laptop but never sit to write a book using the same laptop to sell and make money.

11. A degree holder will blame the government for lack of jobs even after he was on government bursary for him to have his degree.

12. It is typical in Nigeria to find a married man who is a degree holder to throw the weight of family responsibilities concerning bills and the burden of children school fees, accommodation and feeding on the wife with excuses that he has been sacked and still carrying his furnished CV about claiming to be looking for another Job while Thousands of stag illiterates farmers are making over #250,000 naira to #3,000,000 naira as net profit in agricultural engagements on a monthly basis depending on the scale and type of farming engaged in. The same demeaning thing for women claiming to be housewives with degrees meant only to service the kitchen, the dining and to lazy about the house with legs crossed on the couch in front of the TV, filing and painting their long finger nails expecting the man to come bag with fat envelope of money or good news of "The Company's Executive Sales Director is now late and am now appointed in replacement to fill the vacant office with expression of jubilation and anticipation and mouthful of testimony in Church the next Sunday for " God" to do more of miraculous testimony!!!! I know a lot of stag illiterate women out there in this great country called Nigeria making up to #200,000 Naira to #3,000,000 naira monthly from garri and cassava processing with sales of tomatoes and vegetables alone in this harsh time of great economic depression! Ask yourself who is your teacher and why have you gone to school to get a bad, good or quality Education??

13. Nigeria is blessed with young people who have master’s degree and others are doctors in different technical fields such as IT and Engineering but all of them have failed to create a cartoon character or develop a movie from the same instead very happy to buy Tom and Jerry for their children thereby promoting American and UK.

In a school I visit, I met a young man that is of very humble background. He does not speak English but sells Coke, Fanta and Sprite at #80 naira each making a profit of N10 on each drink. He also sells chips at N50 making a profit of N17 on each portion. Not less than 80 students buy chips and a drink every single day. This means he makes a profit of N27 for a drink and chips and a total profit of N2,160 per day…every single day. In ten days he makes a profit of N21,600 in twenty days N43,200 and in thirty days N64,800.

The degree holder working in a bank at the till gets a salary of N45,000 every month.

Why are the degree holders poor?

Because they have decided to pride themselves in a degree and failed to think better than a man who does not have even a certificate to his name.

Degree holders spend their time liking articles on linkedIn and facebook but never have any care in the world to implement what they like. Poverty starts from the mind, a mind that just likes things but never to implement those things.

If you want to progress, keep that degree and start thinking better than someone without a degree. There's no white collar Job anywhere bro!

Now the big question is this; What is poverty?? And who is a poor Man
To the Americans and according to the American bureau of statistics, anyone who cannot afford US $1,660 Dollars equivalent to #620,000 Naira a month is a poor man. Meaning your senior lecturer is a poor man cause not a lot of them are paid such salaries that's why they lament for increment without most of them been able to think outside the box.

Believe me an average Senior University Lecturer with PhDs in respective field with over 30years in the academic field is aptly poor!!! This is because majority of our Profs, VCs, Senior and Junior lecturers have a poverty mindset but only know nothing else than paid and Salary employment as I challenge a lot of them any where I see the uncompromising once on this stance. Majority of this Nigerian academicians have a corrupt, poverty oriented and counter productive mindset therefore they produces poorly informed graduands who might never be able to turned a stone in their life time but instead will forever equally bet their life and fortune on paid jobs and salary. What infuriates me is that many of this academic staffs and workers makes the bulk of Nigerian ASUU claiming to be fighting for the interest of the staffs and students but instead are lie peddlers only advancing the interest of their pocket and looking for undue salary increment.

Look around you; Nigeria has for long been a service based economy for over 5 decades instead of a production based economy as other developed nations of the world tolled for tangible results.

Obafemi Awolowo and Doctor Michael Okpara has rightly said in the 60s, that the future of Nigeria solely depend on Agriculture and other industrial production ventures irregardless of your discipline.
Be prepared to get your hands dirty in Agriculture to include crop and livestock production and Also work like an ox for your business as In sweat and toil lies the sweetness of fine wine from a parent vine, Your hard work will pay off to be complemented with a lasting peace of mind.

If Your A Nigerian Abroad And Still subscribe to the bad news pedalling media that projects negativity about Nigeria, believe me no patriotic foreigner will do that for you but instead you will be shocked to hear that the next biggest multi billionaire in your village is a Lebanese or Chinese man who may come to open up factories and farms on almost every corners of your village having bought over half of your entire village and taking advantage of the opportunity at hand and finding solutions to problems you should be solving but instead chose to stay away for fear of imaginary witches and wizard that only exist in your head as you have chosen to continue to believe.

Note: Dont get me wrong, this is no effort to rubbish the need for a degree and quality education but to debunk the demeaning alibi that has been attached over the years as an amazing grace meal ticket. However, Knowledge is power as you will always need a good degree to make a sound or well informed judgement. Your degree is meant to make your life better by enabling you to think outside the box innovatively but not to be further mortgaged in the box of obscurity as it is currently the case with education and sense of value attached to degree in Nigeria and the entire African Continent.
