check vertically the diffrence between each suscessive numba u will notice the diff is 3 i.e (5-2=3 , 8-5=3) also use the same method for the second column

The "answer" is not what we would traditionally call answer but a conclusion. The conclusion at the first statement (which is the major premise) had 4 from the inference of 11+11.And the minor premise is (logically) given as 16 which is from the multiplication of 4.

Definitely the conclusion to the question must be gotten from the inference of the second premise which will make us multiply 16 in 16 places. And get our "answer" as 256

Had it been it was 44² I would have agreed with you that it is 256.
