Some suspected robbers don stab one bank agent, Ayodele Awodiran, to death for Lambe Junction, Alausa village, wey dey Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Na eight men attack the 38 years old graduate of Economics from University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, when he dey come back from work around 10pm on Sunday.



Dem collect two POS terminals, one accounting record book, recharge cards wey worth N40,000, and cash of N200,000, with ATM card for em hand.

When he identify one of the robbers as em neighbour dem kon stab am with screw driver and knife as dem leave am make he die.

Dem rush the father of three to one private hospital but dem reject am for there before dem kon admit am for General hospital, Ifako where he kon die.

One family friend, talk say dem still dey mourn em dead when alert of N2.1m enter as dem dey comot the money for em account.

He say,

“AY had POS terminals in his shop. Whenever people needed cash, they went to him with their ATM cards. He gave them the cash after charging a token like N100 or N200. He also sold recharge cards and he had some people working for him.

“He was going home on Sunday, May 14, when the okada (motorcycle) he was taking home was waylaid by armed robbers. The assailants, numbering eight, collected money from him. He also released his ATM card PIN code to them as well; but they still killed him.

“Two days after he died, the family received alerts of N2m on his phone.”

DEm inform em bank management and dem also report the matter to policemen for Ajuwon division.

Police operatives investigate the withdraw wey kon lead dem to arrest nine people wey dey include the chairman of okada riders association for the area.

The suspects confess to the crime and dem talk say dem no wan kill am but na because em identify one of them. Dem also talk say dem don dey monitor am for sometime.

The okada ma wey carry am that day also na part of the plan so e go fit dey easy for them to carry out their operation.

As tori take talk, na Ayodele neighbour wey be part of the gang suggest make he take the okada man wey Ayodele too kon agree as he no know sey na set up.

The okada man kon carry am pass where the men dey wait for am.

Bosede wey be Ayodele wife just born their third pikin as she talk say their marriage sef never reach five years when dem kill her husband.

She say,

“I was with him on that day. He asked me to leave with the kids around 9pm so I could prepare food for him. When I got home, I called his line, but he did not pick the call. I guess it was around that time that those people held him hostage before killing him. I want justice to be done. My husband must not die in vain.”

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirm the matter say investigation stil dey go on ontop the matter.
