Here are some things to consider when preparing your land for Cassava farming;

a) Select fertile land on a flat terrain or gentle slope;
b) Steep slopes should be avoided as they could be erosion-prone;
c) Select deep, well drained, loamy sand soil;
d) Avoid waterlogged soils (otherwise prepare ridge or mounds);
e) Avoid stony soil as it affects storage root.
