In a bid to expand her operations, a leading transportation company is currently recruiting for the post of Human Resources Officer and Payroll Officer. The job duties for the position of HR Officer include:

Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
Provide counseling on policies and procedures
Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
Create and implement effective on-boarding plans
Develop training and development programs
Assist in performance management processes
Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
Looking after the health, safety and welfare of all employees
Assist to organise staff training sessions and activities
All other core HR duties as assigned.

The job duties for the position of Payroll Officer include:

Perform daily payroll department operations
Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
Process correct calculations and compliance
Execute attendance processing and interface with payroll
Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary
All other tasks as assigned


Requirements:
• Education: HND/BSC in a relevant discipline.
• Experience: 0-3 years of related experience.
• High level of interpersonal skills.
• Excellent talent to interact with people
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance in a fast paced environment
• Multi-tasking capability without compromising on quality
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, specifically MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
