The Borno state government has called for calm following the attack on a town in Born by Boko Haram fighters. Gun-wielding Boko Haram fighters on Wednesday evening attacked Jiddari Polo area of the city. They were combated by the army and police. Reacting, Governor Kashim Shettima has advised residents of the State to remain calm following the foiled attack.
