Position Summary:
The position of Librarian is responsible for the acquiring, organizing, managing and distributing of library resources, and ensuring that library provisions meet the needs of all its users.


Qualifications:

<> University Degree in related discipline is required
<> Previous experience in an academic library with at least 3 year’s experience
<> Demonstrated ability to think strategically and achieve results
<> Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and people focused
<> Proven ability to manage learning resources while keeping the library users’ needs in mind


Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

<> Responsible for selecting, developing, cataloging and classifying library resources
<> Answering reader’s enquiries, understanding their needs and responding to feedback
<> Implementing library systems and specialist computer applications
<> Supervision of any library staff or volunteers
<> Ensuring the library services meet the needs of the client
<> Managing the budget and resources as assigned
<> Assist others with research and learning
<> Develop IT facilities
<> Assisting readers to use the computer equipment and conducting literature searches
<> Promoting the library’s resources to students and encouraging reading and learning
<> Share ideas, knowledge, and experience with fellow staff members in order to assist in developing better law practices.
