Unconfirmed reports have it that Arewa Youth Consultative Forum Boss, Shetima Yerima left the venue of the meeting before the attendees finalised on the communique and switched his phones off.

In a popular radio programme monitored by Zikist Movement, a well known said the youth supremo left the venue of the meeting were Igbos were given the matching order from the North before its concluding declaration was read.

If Yerima did that, wouldn’t it be unfair to condemn him over the controversial declaration, considering the fact that he may not have been privy to some of the contentious things said?

Maybe he foresaw the crisis the declaration would make. The Shetima Yerima I know doesn't make radical statements.

Shettima Yerima may not be as involved in the eviction notice as earlier thought.

If there is an inkling that someone is innocent, then it would be unIgbo not to point that out, no matter how uncomfortable that fact is. Igbo must not stoop to the level of those that hate us for our success or for no reason, but must rise above such hate.

The Northern youth organizations that made a deplorable statement have been rightly condemned. But assuming without conceding that one of them had a conscience and chose not to be a part of injustice, should that person be hanged with the guilty?
