Beyond the Date : Who will the crown fits?
Effortlessly, I would have decided not to write nor say anything about the foreshadowed senatorial bye-election coming up on 8th July, 2017. To engage in mutism as regards this election will be a great sin whose consequence will be grievous than the requested pond of flesh in Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice.
It is no longer news that the APC will competes with the PDP to fill the post of the late
senator. Isiaka Adeleke. Specifically, I m to say few things about the said election. One, the outcome will determine how prepared the two parties are for the governorship election comes 2018. Two, the victory will strengthen both parties and enervates the defeated party among others.
As Ademola Adeleke decamps to PDP and Hussein remains the flag bearer of APC for the bye election, it thus becomes an 'Ides' as evident in the warnings of the soothsayer to Julius Caesar to beware of the Ides of March. Now, March is gone, and we no longer listened to the soothsayer. This piece thus asks the two contestants to be prepared for many IDES that comes up on this epic path of July 8.

To be continued.
