Sin is your enemy.
Devil is your enemy.
Death is your enemy.
For you to resist the devil and He flees in terror from you,
For you to make up your mind not to yield to the dictates of sin,
For you to claim life and resist death when it comes around.
It means you aren't really under their power. For if you were, you will not be able to make the devil flee when you resist Him.
You won't be able to say no to sin.
And you won't be able to stop death when it comes around.
Because you aren't under their power in Christ Jesus, that's why you can say no to them from your spirit and it remains no.
