JALINGO—MEMBERS of Taraba State chapter of Miyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, clad with arms, yesterday, took its protest against the state’s Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranchers Establishment Bill 2017 to the House of Assembly, threatening breakdown of law if the bill is passed.

First , it is now evidently clear, Fulani herdsmen are the ones killing and maiming farmers across the length and breadth of Nigeria.

Secondly, only in a Government where tribalism is unofficially legalised by careless speeches, body language, and inaction would a known group be so openly bold to hold a government to ransom from making policies. It has never happened.

The tribal rhetorics with which the Buhari APC took power have come to haunt them.

Just imagine the audacity and brazen display of arrogance by these barbarians!! This useless ZOO disgusts me to my bone marrow! Armed barbarians stormed a state house of assembly and were threatning to unleash violence on the whole state yet no one was arrested!! Police, Army, Civil defence and all were no where to be found, but if it were flag & placard waving peaceful protesters agitating for their right, the same barbarians will unleash fire and brimstone on them!! Where is the logic? Where is the justice God forbid that my children will withness this madness called Nigeria. Biafra will surely come by Gods grace. SMH & spits on the ZOO.

They carried arm....blah blah blah .
where are the pictures . That would have been the perfect time for the police to round them up.
If them can't have ranches than they should go to school and forget about herding

I still have not seen any part of Nigeria constitution that makes it legal for cattle rearer to carry guns. The presidency, the senate ,the police and all the stakeholders involved in maintaining law and order see them and look the other way undecided undecided undecided undecided

They always carry out their activities with the mindset that they are above the law. Look at the the story, protesting in front of State House of Assembly wielding arms and yet not arrested . What an impunity? SMH

It is a really pathetic situation here. You see the guys with gun and you'll be like "is government now licensing gun for cattle rearing Fulani"?" Where did they get the arms? It has been discovered anyway by them (Fulani's) that the Nigerian state can only talk and no action. So to look the other way is no big deal to government. Heaven will not fall.

There are ways they treated some issues in this country that baffled me. What stop Nigeria police to round up the protestants, who gave license to them carry arms and ammunition, their leaders of so called Myeett Allah by now supposed to be speaking in tongues by now .. How dare you allowed such people at glaring of all laws to go freely.. The inspector general of police must explain the rationale behind this unprecedented protest.

The same North the core northerners are claiming as theirs. Thank God the Middle belt are fighting against this fulani domination

We the enlightened youths of Middle Belt have taken it upon ourselves to fight against the systematic domination, oppression and injustice being meted out on the good people of Middle Belt, even as the FG looks the other way. This is a mandate we have chosen to pursue both online and offline. It is better to die in battle than to be slaughtered in cold blood. Enough is enough.

It's now crystal clear that the herdsmen atrocities in the middle belt are just the execution of a well Design n articulated heinous plan of land grab, political socioeconomic subjugation n dominance by the northern Islamic authorities using the Fulani brutal force against the Christian minorities in plateau,Benue, Taraba n southern Kaduna,it's now time to show courage n stand firm, yes we are one country but we must respect n accept each other with dignity, the feeling in the north by the Hausa/Fulani that the northern minorities are conquered people must be vehemently opposed n stopped, the idea of a 1965 law by Ahmadu Bello creating grazing reserves all over the north is utter rubbish, I urge the people of Taraba to stand strong n do what is necessary n right,no one is against the Fulani's rearing cows, but they are engaged in business let them buy lands n establish ranches or work with the government to established grazing reserves on agreed terms instead of intimidation, coercion, threats n ultimatums.

These criminals take their cattle to graze everywhere. It is very nonsensical. Just imagine the sight of cattle roaming in and around the FCT! And the same thing applies to other cities across the country.

Coptic. We are sorting it out here. We the educated and law abiding citizens of Middle Belt hv seen through the calculated plan to anihilate us and take over our fertile lands. The herdsmen are merely following instructions from some evil powers.

I don't think your comment is fair to those who have lost their lives to the Fulani menace.
There is no campaign to tarnish the northerners image.
Rather their actions are doing enough damage already
We already know the cow rearers walk around with guns and knives, is it then outside the scope of one's imagination to think they will threaten the Taraba national assembly over a bill they don't like?
We don't need pictures, their previous actions are enough to believe anything right now!

Rarely do I see intellectual responses devoid of abusive language like this on Nairaland.

Kudos

Shaka, it is not by chance that 90% of Middle Beltans are Christians. They fought Utman Danfodio and won especially in Taraba State that is why they are whom they are today religionwise.

Never can Hausa/Fulani's subdue them even after Nigeria is ni more or Dissolved.
