The sensational Igbo singer has had his name all up in the air over the controversial issue of song theft (i'm a fan) involving American singer Pia Mia. Its been one drama after the other since the battle over the authorized ownership of the track. As recorded that Phyno earlier dropped the track off his album in 2016 before Pia Mia released it in May with the same title, this reflects the right of the ownership to be Phyno's. Few days ago, the songwriter, DeCarlo came out on twitter to say the only authorized version of the song was the one done by the Pia Mia, saying he worked with her on it. Left without a choice, Phyno shared screenshots of his chat with DeCarlo congratulating him on the release of his album after Phyno told him the song, I’m Fan was on the playlist.
