Ethiopian here

In 1993, Eritrea separated from Ethiopia. The Ethio-Eritrea war(1998-2000) killed many hundreds of thousands of people and destructed the already destructed economy of the 2 countries back then. Now, Eritrea isn't doing well and Ethiopia is spending huge sums of $ annually to lend access of seaport from Djibouti, because of this. If those 2 countries were one today, they would've developed more and their past greatness of Axum would've been restored.

- Axumities were Eritreans and northern Ethiopians.
- Abyssinians were Amharas and Tigrays(northern Ethiopians).

So, Nigerians should learn from their fellow Ethiopians and Eritreans separation tragedy and should stay united.

We should unite, unite and.........unite to form our own one African Union state. Uniting is the solution for Africans not separation.

Dude, what are you smoking?
America and Britain were not one country.
America was colonized by the British just like Nigeria was colonized.

Separation is a different ball game from what you are talking.

Is suggesting that they should remain united, rather than breaking a demonic doctrine? No, it isn't!

I beg to differ, the Igbo nation at no time agreed to any country called Nigeria. As far as Im concerned as an Igbo man, Nigeria is still a colonial creation and I want my independence just like America.

Even if Nigeria was a creation of her past colonizer British, no specific Nigerian is colonizing an other specific Nigerian.

If Nigeria splits today, millions of people in southern Nigeria will be lifted out of poverty.
As at today, Nigeria is in a poverty trap. A trap we can't get out from even in the next fifty years.

By the way, if Nigeria splits today, the country called Nigeria will cease to exist.

I chose Ethiopia and Eritrea, because Nigeria is a African country and can relatively mostly relate with Ethiopia and Eritrea than other non-African countries.

Ethiopians and Eritreans (Habeshas) are very different from Nigerians. Anyways, how about we as the most populous Black Nation show the world that we can separate peacefully. If Czechoslovakia can do it, so can Nigeria. We can't be slaves to other people's mistakes.
