We have had on several occasion carried out jungle justice to erring individuals across the country, whilst there are evidence of their crimes, we

can not look away on the the innocent ones being killed as well.

For us to reform the Nigeria from crimes, we need to start from ourselves, our mind set and obedient to the rule of laws.

Although, i know a lot of persons are angered by the actions of these thieves but we should learn to show empathy which makes us different

from the thieves.

below are some negative effect of Jungle Justice in Nigeria;

Innocent life are killed : when we continuously carryout jungle justice, many innocent people are killed daily, a typical example of these

is the Alu 4. These persons where killed without listening to them , only to find out later that they innocent. so belief me, If we keep carrying

out this act, loss of lives will increase.

Deny of Fair hearing: Yes, when we carry out jungle justice we directly deny them fair hearing in a competent court of law. we must

acknowledge the sanctity of life in our society. they have right to fair hearing, we need to stop putting tires on their neck.

Negative norms and culture: there have been numerous pictures of jungle justice on our cyber space and this has started to create a sense of

general acceptability that jungle justice is right before us. Even our little children are present when these dastardly acts are carried out, these

younger ones will grow up with the mindset that thieves caught should be killed instantly which is not good for our nation Nigeria.

Suspect becomes more heartless: Because of their belief that when they are caught , its instant death, they try as much as possible to

eliminate whoever comes their way. this, will continuously increase the mortality rate in the country which will have adverse effect on our

markets, labor force and numbers in terms of war.

Anarchy: It also breeds anarchy, when the citizens no long have trust on constituted authorities , then there is serious problem which can lead to anarchy. a total breakdown of law and other which can also bring civil unrest. We must try as much as possible to discourage jungle justice and embrace the rule of law in our society.
