The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said that 62,140 candidates, who had issues with late registration, biometric non-verification and cancellation of results would have to rewrite the examination.

According to a statement issued by the JAMB Registrar Is-haq Oloyede, he said the rescheduled examination would hold on 1st of July 2017 across the candidates’ centres.

According to JAMB chief Media and Information officer, Mr Fabian Benjamin all those who will be re-writing their exams will be informed via three (3) main source of information as stated below;

1. SMS will be sent to the Affected candidates through their registered JAMB Mobile Number.

2. Candidates will also receive mails to their Email address they used in creating their JAMB profile.

3. Affected candidates can also login to their JAMB profile online, where a notification will be displayed if they are qualified to re-write the exam or not.

Note, all candidates are advised to check their JAMB profile online to verify if they are among those to rewrite, as Options (1) and (2) are not reliable, due to network issues in our country that can hinder the delivery of messages.

Affected candidates are to reprint their Examination slip as from Monday, 19th June to know the Schedule of Time and Venue for your exam.

Candidates whose results were totally cancelled and disqualified, following involvement in Examination Irregularities, will also be notified via SMS, Email and Their JAMB profile.

Mr Fabian Benjamin further stated that these set of students are not eligible to rewrite the JAMB supplementary Exam holding on July 1st.

This rescheduled examination is then necessary to ensure that no innocent candidate is unjustly punished.

Please to confirm if you are among the people to rewrite the Jamb, check your result again. If you see your result, know that u are not affected.

But if you get a message like "You do not have any result yet", know that you are to rewrite.
