Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has admitted that the problem of Nigeria is to big for one man to handle. He said accusations and counter accusation by opinion leaders would take the nation nowhere, stressing that there was need for Nigerians to put all hands on deck to push the nation forward.

Goodluck made this known through the former Secretary to the Federal Government, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, at the 5th Memorial Lecture of late Professor Celestine O. E. Onwuliri, at Nnarambia Mbaise on Friday.

Celestine Onwuliri was among the over one hundred people, who lost their lives on Sunday, 3rd June, 2012, when a McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft crashed in Lagos.

"People have said a lot of things about the problems of Nigeria. There is no point joining issues with anybody, but all I can say is that no one person can solve the nation’s problems,” Jonathan said.

In his speech, the former Imo State Governor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, lamented that the fellow who flew the ill-fated Dana Airline that claimed the life of Professor Celestine Onwuliri and other Nigerians, was not certified as a pilot.

The problem of Nigeria cannot be solved by humans. ETs maybe, definitely not humans.

So let's join the nation that would work. Let's join where the sun rises.

Of course it can't be solved by one person . We all know that and that is why we have various arms and institutions to run the affairs of the nation concurrently

But you know what you guys did?

You marginalized each arm.

You through the back doors affect every judgment made by any institution,

you make sure there's personal benefit from every decision taken .

You turned the country to your master's bedroom

So mr ex ,the blames were literarily meant to be decentralized but we have to hold someone responsible because we understand how our democracy is ran autocratically .

Did anybody bother to ask him what the problems are? He was president in a country with the most understanding, docile and patient people on earth yet he failed and he is blaming his failure on ". Nigeria's Problem" our problem in Nigeria was just the Economy( import dependent) and Leadership( corrupt and non creative leadership) Yaradua made. An attempt to give us direction by narrowing our focal point to 7 basic areas and named the new project. The 7point agenda. He died and let us in the hands the most unfortunate and clueless leader Nigeria will ever have. Jonathan took over a government that was beginning to fight corruption and had a vision but left power with an inexplicable level of corruption, exterminated the 7point agenda and introduced the Transformation agenda which on its own has no Agenda in the first place and gave us a brand new problem through his "Baby" Bokok Haram and herdsmen attacks. Jonathan gave us insecurity as a gift. Nigeria wasn't battling Earthquakes, Tsunami, Typhoon, major floods, Snow etc. We had just Leadership and corruption and he claims they are more than what one person could solve. Thank God today he is not charged with the responsibility of fixing the problems. Can't believe a former President with presidential powers to nominate whomever he wants to solve the problems with could say this. I weak.

Institutions are not run by Angels from the sky bro.. Nigerians just need exemplary leadership with heavy concentration on carrot and stick. All Nigeria needs is just one God fearing, grass root and healthy President with the political will to do right. By " One Man" I mean that person that who will be able to identify people with qualities like himself to work with. Together they will succeed. A Man who works with time lime and hardly has a place for sentiments. We have plenty of such. Yaradua would have done great. Because he died doesn't mean we can't get another.

Many Nigerians don't know that nation building is a collective effort

I agree with Jonathan. He tried drinking ogogoro to forget the problem but the problems swallowed him before he knew it he was out of aso rock. To much ogogoro is not good for your health.

That was why it was him and mama peace that was ruling the country
