Good morning! Here is today’s summary from Nigerian Newspapers:

1. Report says multiple explosions were heard around Dalori area of Maiduguri, the Borno state capital Sunday night as Boko Haram insurgents ambushed some military men along along Maiduguri-Biu road killing three soldiers. The report also said the insurgents have equally overrunned Kofa village.

2. Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly has said that having an elderly person (Buhari) as president was not working well for Nigeria as the country needs an energetic president. He said the election of 39-year-old Emmanuel Macron as France president has showed that the world has changed its direction in terms of choice of leadership.

3. Billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudi Onwuamadike, aka Evans, on Sunday led the police to two camps where he kept his victims on Jakande Estate, Ejigbo, and the New Igando, both in Lagos State. The Ejigbo detention camp is located on Green Street, Jakande Estate. The other camp is located on 21 Prophet Asaye Close, New Igando.

4. President of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has expressed outrage at the removal of Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK) as a subject of study from the secondary school curriculum, saying the move was President Muhammadu Buhari’s effort to Islamise Nigeria.

5. A Yoruba youth group, Yoruba Youths Council (YYC) has vowed to resist any attempt by any government official or any section of the country that intends to undermine the authority of the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. YYC in a statement signed by its President Comrade Eric Oluwole and National Deputy Publicity Secretary frowned at the reported attempts by some government officials to bypass Osinbajo by taking files to recuperating President Muhammadu Buhari in London.
