The foundation is like the fountain from which all things emanate. What you see determines how you see. Few people build themselves into seeing opportunities. A solid discovery foundation takes hurdles as harvest, challenges as conquest, problems as possibilities, blockages as blessings and opposition as opportunities We must not limit God, not only by unbelief but by casting away the obvious opportunities in our environment academically, maritally and ministerially. To get a stable foundation for self reliance, we must:
1. Look aback: Revelation 2:5 The past should not be a residence but a reference. The side mirror of a vehicle looks at the vehicle coming from the back to avoid collision and accidents. We must look at what made us fail in the past and turn them around for a beautiful present.
2. Look around: Jeremiah 1:11-13 Opportunities are all around us in their number. We don't have to travel far before obtaining golden chances. We must cultivate the habit of looking around us with our eyes open. We must not join the company of men that see with their feelings and think with their eyes.
3. Look ahead: Philippians 3:13 Some look down on themselves that to a level of hopelessness. Looking ahead is a voice of hope. There is a promise for the moment and a performance for the morrow.
4. Look abound:Philippians 1:9 We must not become redundant remainders in the valley of regret. The seemingly little discovery we have made must abound within us and we must abound in them as well.
5. Look alert: Psalms 45:1 Be prepared!sounds the discovery alarm. We must be alert to seize all the opportunities that God has given us to harness. Alertness must be with alacrity.
6. Look alive/ablaze: Psalm 41:2 Dead seekers don't even believe in what they profess to seek. The expectations of a glorious moment should lighten our countenance and conversation.
7. Look available:2 Samuel 15:15 Beyond the reaching forth for opportunities, a self reliance Christian must be available in character, preparation and qualification. Absented mindedness could lead to abstained miracles.
8. Look across:Proverbs 22:29 I am confined to my field says a friend. No one confines a man but himself. Look across the depth of your discipline and explore it. David became a warrior because he looked across the shepherd field to a warfare field in his lonely wilderness shepherding.
9. Look again:1 Kings 18:41-46 Quitters don't win and winners don't quit. After a seemingly discovered opportunity was flawed, a resolute man will look again because the best is yet to come.
10. Look above:Psalms 121:1-2 It is in the nature of man to look down where struggles are endless. We are enjoined to look up to God who is able to raise us up. Look above you also for a lasting discovery.

You can add yours... @alliteration
