Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has been accused of evading
tax payments to the tune of £2.9 million during his time with Real
Madrid.

Mourinho who coached Real Madrid for three seasons, joins Cristiano
Ronaldo who was recently accused of tax fraud over his image rights in Spain to the tune of £13 million.

Although the Portuguese has denied any wrongdoing and is upset
about the accusation, he is seeking a move away from Spain.

Spanish prosecutors are taking tax evasion cases seriously especially
among footballers, Barcelona star Lionel Messi was recently handed a 21
month jail term for tax fraud although he won't face any jail term.

In 2016 Mascherano was also accused and convicted of tax fraud and
handed a year prison sentence.
