its no longer news about Igbo seeking to break out from Nigeria and form an independent country, this post shows some of the predictions that might happen if BIAFRA happens.

Advantages
1. Yorubas and Hausa will wake up.

Since 1960, Nigeria has experience a rapid fall in growth of our economy, come to think of fact that before the discovery of Crude oil, we had other sectors yielding money like Agriculture, etc, but Crude oil has made this Country lazy and mainly focused on Crude Oil as its only source of wealth generation.
In developed nations, they put more emphasis on TECHNOLOGY and Scientific innovations, Nigerians are highly intelligent people but due to our focus on Crude oil, we have failed to build an environment to inspire our youths

Summary: Division will force Hausa and Yoruba as well as Igbo to find new means to survive and make money.

2. Reduction in Tribalism:

More than 68% of Nigerians are tribalist by nature, study on Nairaland alone shows that Yorubas, Igbos and Hausa arr not living in peace,
the division will reduce rooms for tribalism (might not completely eliminate this maybe because its in our DNA)

lets use America as case study
Americans don't care if your from Texas or Florida, they identify themselves as Americans and that's what really matters, although many are racist.

Nigerians lay emphasis on your Tribe, sometimes they see their tribe as superior to another, most Nigerians put emphasis of your region ( Yoruba Igbo or Hausa).

Although we aren't racist by default but have seen lots of Nigerians act racially to Albinos

Summary: Division will reduce our tribal differences, if we cannot unite and work together we can never get to the promise land.

3. Increase Competition
its possible, since Igbos , Yorubas and Hausas are will not be living under the same umbrella, Every region will compete with one another to fibd out who's (more intelligent, who can yield more money, who have the best roads, who have the best schools etc...) etc
rather than waiting for the next crude oil sales, everybody will wake up and find alternative's

Disadvantages

1. Currency :
If Biafra ever happens, one major factor would be their unit of currency,
One possible question raised would be: since CBN wouldn't work under the umbrella of Biafra, how will igbos change their existing naira notes to their proposed Biafra currency.
