u have a beautiful dog bro, doughlas ear was standing when it was still 5weeks. The first pic I posted was at 6weeks. Just take good care of ur cute dog and watch her ear standing in due time.

Nice pup, one thing with gsd is that at certain age,they start looking ugly and lanky,(leggy),but will later go back to being that beautiful dog they use to be when they where a puppy, same thing occurs in a rott.

Lovely dog. as long as your puppy is still teething there's no problem, there's only a problem If it's still not up at about 7months...then you can be worried. But if you saw both parents and they have erect ears then I'm sure in no time your pups ears would be up.

Yes, that's true but a good eye can still spot a good gsd at the leggy stage. I increase the quantity of my dogs food when they are in this stage and I've also had gsds that didn't pass through the leggy stage.

Thanks man I would be updating her pics soon.. One ear is up already.. The other just stands and flops back.. But with time it would straighten out

yep,no doubt the op's dog is a good gsd, just stating the obvious when it comes to the breed.

I am planning of getting a companion for Douglas in few weeks time. I need an expert opinion on which breed is better between a Rottweiler and a Boerboel.

Get a good GSD too, you will enjoy the combo.

I'd suggest you get a good gsd...they are the best and can also serve as a mate for your female if you ever decided to breed her.

She has taking control of all d security detail of my compound. she charges at anything both human, birds, butterflies etc. Nobody dares come to my compound without my consent.
