The newly appointed Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Sheriff Oborevowre has been accused of using monies meant for the payment of Local govt workers to "bribe" Urhobo traditional rulers in a bid to secure his Delta Central Senatorial ambition.

It was gathered that Oborevwere who had a closed door meeting with the traditional rulers on Saturday (24 June 2017) used N10 Million to wedge Kola nut. Part of the N10m is seen in the picture.

According to Elsie Halima Ijorogu-Reed, the meeting with the Monarchs was part of his bid to secure their support for his Senatorial ambition.

The same Okpe people that wants to divide the urhobo nation. There's strength in unity. If Okpe breaks away from UPU they would automatically become a minority in Delta Central thereby exposing themselves to marginalisation.

Just look at that.. I mean, take a look at that. sad

If we can agitate, blow up pipelines kidnap these fools and bomb their houses and a way of protesting against their acts of corruption, in no distant future, Nigeria will definitely assume the appearance of UAE.

But instead, we keep blaming Abuja for all our problems.

Every fabric of this country is deeply corrupt.
Some people just think it started with GEJ, although he's a very foolish man.
Corruption started since this days of suadana, awolo and zik.

This disease (corruption) has no cure! So shall it remain until... This not a curse.

Delta State: the center of corruption in Nigeria! Anyone that tells me a state is more corrupt than Delta will invite my fury. Delta is unbeatable in corruption. Look at traditional rulers collecting wads of hard currency from a politician. These are the people that sell our rights and the voice of Urhobo nation to politicians all because of their greed.

On Uvwiamughe I stand in 2019!

N10m can fix a dilapidated primary school in the region.

Instead, we squander what is left of the region and turn to blame the federal government for the failures of the Niger Delta and the Eastern part.

My questions have always been?

What have Niger Delta region, East and South done with all the IGRs in the regions?

What have these regions done with the monthly federal allocations?

What happened to the 13% Derivations?

What impact has the Niger Delta Commission brought to the region since creation?

What impact has the Niger Delta Ministry brought to the region since creation?

What happen to the Paris club fund?

What are the responsibilities and impact of the governors of these regions?

What happen to CSR efforts (cash and kind) of the corporate and individual entities in the region especially the oil mining entities?

Until we answer these questions, the efforts of the federal government will still go to waste.

Nigerian leaders a simply despicable with 'selfish tendencies.

Okpe leaders will never allow Okpe nation leave Urhobo, no matter how much their youths shout about it. The leaders are the one benefitting from the confederation.

Secondly; the average Okpe person will run to Urhobo when in trouble and then deny Urhobo when it is all over. Everything that Okpe is today was because of UPU. UPU helped Okpe in the Sapele land case, the position of Okpe as almost number 1 in Urhobo voice, the location of the defunct Urhobo province in Orerokpe, the creation of Okpe and Sapele LGAs, etc.

Many of them have forgotten so soon. Look at the Isokos that broke off now. Is their isolation in Delta South helping them? Okpeland is far more developed than Isokoland. What has their division of Urhobo nation yielded for them?

In any case, Urhobo ovuovo!!! Urhobos know themselves.
