When was the last time you heard someone say;”i want to get a dog, i’m gonna get an ugly dog”. -Never? Well the idea of getting a cute or big badass looking Dog is the trend in most societies.

However, in Pentaluma, California, it has been made a lasting tradition to celebrate Dogs, but not just any kind of Dogs -The Ugliest of them.

They hold an annual World’s Ugliest Dog contest, a 50-year-old tradition at the Sonoma-Marin Fair. Many Dogs and their handlers converge to contest, California is a big state so you have to guess the crowd that was in attendance -A multitude.

Then there were lots and lots of Ugly Dogs, from the weird looking to the crazy looking ones -but Alas, there had to be just one winner and that honor went to a 3-year-old Neapolitan Mastiff, Martha.

Martha is a very emotional Dog, she literally fainted after being declared winner of the contest -LOL talk about being a little too dramatic.

“She’s a 125-pound, drooling, snoring, gassy, loud and silly girl,” -Shirley Dawn Zindler, Martha’s foster owner at the Dogwood Animal Rescue Group, said in a press release. “She knocks over every water bucket no matter how securely attached to the fence. She bosses the other dogs around and makes sure all guests are suitably slimed on arrival.” -Luckily she doesn’t bite.
