INTRO
Poker game is a bet game that can either involve real money or fake chips. Its played by two or more players all sitting around the table. Its' major difference from other bet games and sport bet is that players have full control over their money. Unlike sport bet, there is exception of initial forced bets. Money is only placed into the pot voluntarily by a player who knows he/she holds the best combination of five cards, believes the bet has positive expected value  or who is trying to bluff other players for various strategic reasons.
Poker is a family of card games that combine gambling, strategy, and skill . All poker variants involve betting as an intrinsic part of play, and determine the winner of each hand according to the combinations of players' cards, at least some of which remain hidden until the end of the hand. Poker games vary in the number of cards dealt, the number of shared or "community" cards, the number of cards that remain hidden, and the betting procedures.
Poker is currently undergoing a surge in popularity, due in part to "Texas-Hold'em" prominence on television and popularity with celebrities. After its' online emergence in the early 2000's, the game becomes a profession around the world. Many professional players do make up to $100,000 annually playing poker online. Tournaments are held in major cities around the world with winning prize for top players.
The days of heading to Las Vegas once or twice a year to play poker are gone, as poker has now become a worldwide passion that is available to anyone, anywhere. With the emergence of online poker, it is now possible to hit the virtual felt with opponents from all over the globe at anytime, simply by clicking your mouse or tap your device's screen. The growth of poker around the world is increasing with internet gaming accessibility.

As poker has been globalized and people from every worldwide community are now learning the game, i'm here to assist you by offering poker basics, skills and strategy that will help you become a better player.Want to join the fun? A standard fifty-two card deck consists of thirteen sequential cards in four different suits.

THE TABLE
The table typically has anywhere from two to ten players. Tables with four or less players are referred to as "short handed". When there are only two players the game is called "Heads Up

FIRST DEALER & DEALER BUTTON
To determine who begins the game, a single card is dealt face up to each player; high card will be the first "Dealer (D)". (High card is Ace, followed by; K, Q, J, 10 etc.) The Dealer position is indicated by a white plastic chip referred to as the button. After each round of play, or "hand", the dealer button rotates to the left (clockwise), ensuring that everyone gets to play in all positions.

BLINDS
Before the cards are dealt, forced bets, called the "Big Blind (BB)" and the "Small Blind (SB)" (or Little Blind) are made. The Small Blind position is always the seat to the left of the Dealer, and the Big Blind is the seat to the left of the Small Blind. The amounts of the blinds are predetermined, and the Small Blind is usually half the Big Blind. 

THE POT
The pot is the sum of money (or Chips) that players bet during each hand. After each betting round, all bets go into the pot until the Showdown.

HOLE CARDS
Hole cards are private cards, which are delivered face down to each player at the start of the hand.

COMMUNITY CARD
Community cards are delivered face up, in the center of the table, for all players to use. The community cards are delivered three times

An Overview

Each player is dealt two private cards ("Hole Cards" or "Pocket Cards"wink, after which there is a betting round. Then three community cards are dealt face up (the "Flop"wink, followed by a second betting round. A fourth community card is dealt face up (the "Turn"wink, followed by a third betting round. A fifth community card is dealt face up (the "River"winkand the the fourth and final betting round. At the Showdown, each player plays the best five-card hand they can make using any five cards from the two pocket cards and the five community cards (orBoard Cards).

POKER HANDS AND RANKING
Understanding how poker hands are ranked is the most fundamental concept in poker and should be the first thing you learn. Most casino poker games use a standard 52 card deck. There are some exceptions to this, as there are games that use a deck with a joker added or a deck that has cards stripped away.

Standard poker hands consists of five cards. There are many different types of poker games, with various numbers of cards dealt out, but ultimately you will be considering your best five cards in most games. This means that at the end of the hand, you will play the highest ranking five card combination possible from the cards you have been dealt. The player with the most highly ranked hand, relative to those of their opponents, will be awarded the pot (pool of wagers). In the event of a tie, the pot will be split equally.


The ranking of hands, from lowest to highest value:

High card. If no combination can be made, then a player's hand is valued at the highest single card. If two players have the same high card, then the second highest card would break the tie.
Example: 5♣ 8♦ 10♠ Q♥ A♠
One Pair. A pair is formed when you have two of any of the same cards.
Example: 9♠ 9♦ 5♣ 8♣ K♥
Two Pairs. When more than one player has two pairs, the player with the highest pair wins.
Example: 9♠ 9♦ 5♣ 5♥ 8♥
Three of a Kind.
Example: 9♠ 9♦ 9♥ 5♣ 8♣
Straight. A straight is a five-card hand consisting of a running sequence of cards, regardless of suit. If two players have straights, the straight of the higher card wins.
Example: 9♠ 10♠ J♦ Q♥ K♦
Flush. When all five cards in a hand are of the same suit, it is a flush. If two players have a flush, the person with the highest card in that suit wins.
Example: 9♠ 5♠ Q♠ K♠ 7♠
Full House. When a player has three-of-a-kind and a pair in the same hand, it is called a Full House.
Example: 9♠ 9♦ 9♥ 5♣ 5♥
Four of a Kind. If you are lucky enough to have all four of a given number, then you have a very powerful hand.
Example: 9♠ 9♦ 9♥ 9♣ 5♣
Straight Flush. Even rarer than four of a kind, a straight flush is made up of five consecutive cards, all from the same suit.
Example: 9♠ 10♠ J♠ Q♠ K♠
Royal Flush. The best hand of them all is this famous combination, formed by a Straight Flush that runs to the Ace, making it unbeatable. Odds of being dealt this hand can be as high as 1 in 650,000 deals.

1. HIGH CARD
High Cards – These are poker hands that contain no pair, no straight, and no flush. It is the worst poker hand.

If no combination can be made, then a player's hand is valued at the highest single card.
Example:
If player X card conbination is - 5♣ 8♦ 9♠ J♥ K♠
And player Y card combination is - 5♠ 8♥ 10♦ J♣ A ♣
Then player Y wins the game with high card - A♣

If two players have the same high card, then the second highest card would break the tie.

Then player Y wins the game with the third high card - 10♦

Same goes to breaking the tie with fourth and fifth card.

2. ONE PAIR

One Pair – This is a hand that contains one pair only, with no straight or flush.

A pair is formed when you have two of any of the same cards.
Example: 9♠ 9♦ 5♣ 8♣ K♥
If at showdown, the highest hand ranking is a pair. The player with the pair wins the game

 When more than one player has a pairs, the player with the highest pair wins.
Example
Player X : 9♠ 9♦ K♣ 5♥ 8♥

Then player Y wins with the highest pair value J

But if two players have a pair of the same value, the third card would break the tie

3. TWO PAIR

Two Pair – This is a hand that contains two pairs of different rankings, but no straight or flush. Any two pair hand beats any one pair hand. Remember that hands are counted from the top down. 
Example
Player X : 9♠ 9♦ 5♣ 5♥ 8♥
Player Y: 9♦ 9♥ 6♠ 3♥ 2♣
Then player X wins with two pair

 When more than one player has two pairs, the player with the highest pair wins.

5. STRAIGHT

10. Royal Flush

This hand consists of an ace high straight flush. It is the highest possible hand in a game with no wild cards (in a game with wild cards five of a kind beats a royal flush). A royal flush in clubs would be A♣ K♣ Q♣ J♣ 10♣

This is the best hand of them all is this famous combination, formed by a Straight Flush that runs to the Ace, making it unbeatable.

Now that you have familiarized yourself with the deck and the poker hand rankings order, you can begin learning how to play the different types of poker games. A good place to start is by learning the basics of Limit Holdem, which is one of the simpler, more popular games.

ACTION OF A POKER GAME

Each player, when it's their turn, makes their choice and Acts.
There are five acts that can be played


1. Raise — A player who thinks he has a good hand (or who wants the other players to think he has a good hand) may increase the wager required to continue playing

2. Fold — A player who thinks his hand is not good enough to win and who does not want to wager the increased amount may lay down his cards. He cannot win the hand, but he also will not lose any more chips.

3. Call — Once a player has raised the stakes, each player must decide whether to raise the stakes again, to give in and fold his hand, or to call, which means to equal the amount wagered by the player who raised.

4. Re-raise - this is when another player decides to raise again in the same betting round.

5. Check — If no one has increased the wager required to continue, a player may stand pat by checking, or passing on his option to bet.

There are three main types of poker games: flop games, stud games, and draw games. Texas Holdem is a flop game. This means that it is a game with “hole cards” and “community cards.” Hole cards are private cards, which are delivered face down to each player at the start of the hand. Community cards are delivered face up, in the center of the table, for all players to use. Each player combines their hole cards with the community cards to make their best five card poker hand.

Another characteristic of flop games is that the order of action, or betting, is always clockwise. There is a nominal dealer button, simply called “the button,” which indicates the advantageous position of acting last after the flop. Each player receives the button for one hand, after which it is moved to the player on the left. This insures that every player gets equal time at each position in the betting order.

Before the start of each hand, the two players to the left of the button post (put up) mandatory blind bets, called “blinds.” These blinds serve as seed money for the pot, in place of antes. The player immediately to the left of the button is called the “small blind.” The small blind is usually required to post a partial bet. The player immediately to the left of the small blind is called the “big blind.” The big blind is usually required to post a full bet. Occasionally, you will see a Hold’em game with three blinds, or antes in addition to blinds. Having a firm understanding of how blinds work is key to learning how to play Texas Holdem poker.

Before the flop, the action starts immediately to the left of the big blind, a position called “under the gun.” This gives the big blind last action before the flop. After the flop the action starts with the small blind. This gives the button last action after the flop.

Shuffle and Deal
The deck is shuffled and the dealer deals two cards face down to each player, one card at a time, starting with the player on the left (Small Blind position, then continues in a clockwise manner). These cards are your Hole Cards or Pocket Cards.

PreFlop
Once the cards are dealt, each player looks at their cards. This can be followed by PreFlop betting round
At this betting round, players are required to take actions.

Acting
Each player, when it's their turn, makes their choice and Acts. There are five acts that can be played:
1) Check- betting zero. Players may not check on the opening round because they must either match (or raise) the big blind or fold.
2) Bet- the opening bet of a betting round.
3) Call- to match a bet or a raise.
4) Fold- to discard your hand and forfeit the current pot.
5) Raise- to increase the size of the current bet.
5a) Re-Raise- making a second raise in the same betting round.

If a player raises the bet, each player must now call the new amount to continue playing the current hand, including those who may have already acted. If a player chooses to fold, the money already in the "Pot" from the prior "call" remains in the pot. At any time a player may re-raise. If no player raises the big blind, then the player in BB position may check or raise. It is important to note that if a player raises, that player may not raise again unless they were re-raised, as opposed to called. The round of betting stops when all players have either folded or called the last raise.

The Flop
The Dealer then deals three cards face up. This is called the "Flop".
These are the first three of the five community cards that all players can use, along with their pocket cards, to make the best possible poker hand.

Betting; Round 2
First to act after the Flop and on every subsequent round of betting, is the SB. The SB can choose from the following acts ; 1) CHECK without betting anything, 2) BET or 3) FOLD.

There is one change in play decision here-on-out: If the players acting before your turn choose to "Check", you may do so too. As before, the betting round ends when all players have Folded or Called the last bet or raise, or if all players have "Checked".

The Turn
The dealer burns another card and then deals a fourth community card face up. This is called the "Turn".

Betting; Round 3
There is another round of betting, with the SB position being first to act. As mentioned before, the SB has the same choice of acts as after the Flop. (Check, Bet, Fold)

Once again, the betting round ends when all players have Folded or Called the last bet or raise, or if all players have "Checked".

The River
The dealer burns another card and then deals the fifth and final community card face up. This is called the "River".

Betting; The Final Round
This is the final round of betting. First to act has the same choice of acts as before. (Check, Bet, Fold)

At this point (or before) if all but one player folds, the last player who didn't fold wins the pot. In such a situation the player may "Muck" his hand, which means to toss it into the discard (Burn) pile without showing anyone their hand. Mucking helps keep the other players from learning your playing style.

The Showdown
If more than one player remains after the last betting round, the remaining players expose and compare their hands to determine the winner (or winners). This is called the "Showdown".

A showdown can involve anywhere from two players to the entire table, depending on how many players stayed in the game up to this point. All players still in the hand show their cards, starting with the last person to bet. Once this player shows their cards, all other players in the showdown may muck their hand, essentially conceding the pot. By mucking the player is admitting that they have been beat without having to show their cards.

Tie
If two (or more) players tie a hand, they "chop (split) the pot" evenly among those players. The same holds true if the board has the five highest cards (best hand), the pot is chopped.

The best five-card hand (or hands, in the case of a tie) wins the pot.

Forming a Hand
There are three possible combinations to form a hand using board (community) cards and/or pocket cards.
1) Two pocket cards & Three board cards
2) One pocket card & Four board cards
3) No pocket cards & Five board cards (called playing the board. You must declare that you are "playing the board" before you throw your cards away; otherwise you relinquish all claims to the pot.)
