Cristiano Ronaldo is surely a very versatile person in many ways. And we are not talking just football now but generally. As some facts trickle out to the general public about his private life, one starts to understand one or two things about him better than before.

He is surely a goal-getter but in an unconventional manner.

In just a few days, some of us have gotten to know Cristiano Ronaldo the way we never knew him. And I cannot make bold to say that we are not confused but then that is life generally.

Let us take the issues in a chronological manner now.

Some weeks back, a number of us were shocked by the news relating to tax evasion leveled against our soccer idol but got some relief from the anger that spurted out of him as he denied the charges. We then became jittery and anxious as he threatened to leave Real Madrid and Spain altogether. Thank God that the 2017 edition of the FIFA Confederations Cup held in Russia gave everyone a breather and a chance for things to calm down.

Then while we were thinking into the near future concerning his staying at Real Madrid or not, news filtered in that CR7 has just been blessed with a set of twins – Mateo and Eva. Good News at last to diffuse the tension, we all thought.

Wonderful news, we shouted! But ehm, his girl-friend did not look heavily pregnant the last time out(?). Then the revelation filtered in that the twins were born through a surrogate mother.

Just as we were trying to get to terms with that piece of surprising news, another one hit us in between the eyes – Cristie’s model girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez is expecting a baby as well!The baby is reportedly due in October.



Oh Dear Cristie, what is going on here? If we thought that was all, we were wrong. All of that was now over-shadowed by the revelation that Cristiano Jnr. (his first son) was born also by another woman whose identity is being kept mega secret.

If all of the above is not enough to confuse a normal human being, what da heck will, ehhnn? If Mr. Cristiano Ronaldo were to be of Yoruba or Urhobo descent in Nigeria, all of these would have been better understood but he is not. Or is he? Is that another secret we do not know about?

In a Nigerian parlance, when confronted with this kind of a series of unusual and sometimes confusing events, we simply end up saying “My brother, I am not understanding. This your story don dey tire us o!”.
