TINASHE (Zimbabwe)
Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe / tiːˈnɑːʃeɪ/ born February 6, 1993) is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, dancer, actress, and former model. Her father is a professor who teaches acting at California State Polytechnic University and a first generation immigrant of the Shona people of Zimbabwe , while her mother, who is of Danish , Norwegian , Irish , and English descent, teaches physical therapy at California State University, Northridge. Her parents met each other on a blind date during their time as undergrads at the University of Iowa.Tinashe's name means "We are with God" in the Shona language . She has two younger brothers, Thulani and Kudzai.

Ontario , a district in the city's east end. He is the only child of Makkonen and Samra Tesfaye, who were Ethiopian migrants to Canada in the late 1980s. He has also credited his stage name as being inspired by his high school dropout status "after [he] left one weekend and never came home", although, producer Jeremy Rose claims the name was his own idea.The spelling was modified in order to avoid trademark issues with the Canadian band The Weekend .

Aminé , is an American rapper. He is best known for his commercial debut single , " Caroline ", which peaked at number 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.The son of Eritrean and Ethiopian immigrants, Aminé was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He grew up wanting to play basketball, but was cut from Benson Polytechnic 's basketball team freshman and sophomore year. His rap career then began to come into fruition when he would make diss tracks about rival high schools, Grant High School and Lincoln High School.Well,Caroline is now 2X Platinum Certified.

Morocco.He grew up at the family estate outside
Casablanca where he lived for the first 13 years of his life.Growing up, he was consumed with soccer and rap, describing them as his two favorite childhood hobbies,before getting into basketball in his later teens.
In 1996, at the age of 13, Karim left Morocco with his mother, his father Abdela and younger brother Zack for New York City , where they settled in the South Bronx.Speaking only his
native languages Arabic and French when he first arrived, he learned English in the streets and in the Bronx high schools of Lehman and Roosevelt. After struggling for 2 years, his father decided they would move back to Casablanca, when his mother opted to stay back with the kids citing lack of opportunities back home.His mother was pregnant with his youngest brother Ayoub at the time, who was born in the US shortly after his father departed for Morocco. French Montana isn't black, you have to be black to be African American.

Secondly, none of the people on this list are African Americans, you have to be a descendant of the Africans brought to the Americans to be an African American.

Also, the Weeknd is from Canada.
