It's funny, but I think we are better off without all those weapons. If a nuclear war was to take place, I don't think they would consider a harmless country like Nigeria. Ordinary oil that was found in Nigeria has ruined everything. If we had those kind of weapons I'm sure it would be used against innocent people. Each country develops her weapon capabilities or acquires such base on threat assessment unlike the countries you mentioned, Nigeria military primary obligation is to protect her 5000+ creeks, rainforest, EEZ/Gulf of guinea, Savannah belt, desert and protect territorial integrity, deploy for peace enforcement.

so? A country who tags itself the giant of africa must learn to always be prepared at all times. The defence of creeks, belts, terrains you talking about, do the south african military do all those or not yet they have nukes.

If you call yourself the giant of africa defending savannah belts and creeks is no excuse not to have a nuclear warhead.
