Irohinoodua was informed that the Oba was kidnapped on Wednesday by armed gangs posing as land buyers.
A source told our correspondent that the armed men visited the Oba in his palace on Wednesday posing as people who desperately wanted to buy land. After having about 10-minute conversation with the monarch, one of the visitors was said to have brought out a pistol after which the monarch was whisked away.
“They came, about five of them. They were well dressed. They posed as if they wanted to buy land. They brought out guns and threatened to kill the Oba after which they whisked him away.”, a source at the palace told Irohinoodua.
