for me I don't know whether the desulphator works or it is just another snakeoil device. But for sure the Battery balancer surely works as intended as see my battery voltages before installation of the battery balancers and compare with my earlier picture taken after 1 week of use and my batteries are now getting to Four (4) years in use and with the current prices of new batteries they must last another useful 4 years at least oh

For users using flooded batteries I would advise to get this battery
filler from Amazon or any other source.

Filling your batteries will be as easy as any thing as filler has an automatic cutoff once each cell is properly guagued it shuts off the flow.

A really handy equipment to have on hand as it very easy yo use.

It's working then. Give it some time and u may need to move the particular battery to another position in the series( check wire connections etc).

flooded acid rarely require battery balancers as long has they get proper equalisation charge once a month.

A balancer can only address issues common to all the cells and may not be of much use if a specific cell is drifting or weak vs. others in the same battery. This is one of the advantages of FLA in that one can check the state of each individual cell and apply corrective measures where required as well as the ability to perform equalizations and replace water.

Regardless, battery balancers are like the next best thing after sliced bread and they work wonders to keep series connected batteries in sync even under challenging usage conditions. I have used them with great success for both FLA and sealed batteries. They are best applied to a battery bank from day one before any issues or one battery getting weaker than the others comes up and I heartily recommend them to all and sundry.

Nothing more to add my brother. You have said it all. The ability to check the performances of each cell in a bank and apply equalisation charge when necessary is why FLA does it for me. Their rugged nature and relative longer life is why I will always pick them over AGM any day.

While awaiting other comments, we "small system" users need to help each other!
The issue is the bigger the inverter the more likely the idle consumption ( take that as the energy the inverter use to run itself), so a smaller inverter may be better for your system. Also, if your energy need at any time will exceed 50% of the capacity of an inverter , you should rethink your energy use/ inverter size maths.
Note also:
1) 12v system needs a single 12v battery to work, 24v will need 2 at any given time.
2) Your 2 batts backup time is fairly the same minus idle consumption and cable loss for similar loads
3) Lower voltage systems need thicker cables for heavy loads compared to higher voltage systems on similar load.
4) Any future plans for expansion?
