I heard police is arresting suspected bado members at Ikorodu, Lagos State.

I was even told that if you do not have any mode of identification, then you would be arrested.

I then asked two questions that no one has answered me yet.

1. Does it mean that people who are employed can not be a member of bado group, any illicit group or commit any criminal act?

2. We have millions of unemployed graduates roaming the streets. Does it mean they are all criminals?

I suggest our Govt imposes the use of Centralized Database System, so everyone could have one National Identification Number (NIN) just like BVN.

With its existence, all you would need is just the NIN to register in anything, anytime, anywhere; it will encourage fingerprints, eyeball and facial crime tracking system.

Hence, making it easier for security men to trace criminals from the intels collected at crime scene.

I still do not understand why our Govt has refused to automate our systems.
