In this article, we bring to your attention the very latest transfer news in European football circles as they concern the very biggest clubs.

In the biggest of the news so far, it has been reported authoritatively that Manchester United has beaten F.C. Chelsea to the signature of Everton’s striker, Romelu Lukaku as the player is reportedly undergoing a medical in Los Angeles as part of the requirements for a move to Old Trafford.

This transfer will re-unite Lukaku with his former coach at Chelsea Jose Mourinho in a surprise move since both were not the best of friends when they worked together at the London Bridge. But then, this is football business and like in politics, there are no permanent friends or foes.

The question now is; “Will this signing quell Manchester United’s quest for the acquisition of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid or not”?

In other news away from Old Trafford but just across the city, local rivals Manchester City look set to be short on one striker as Kelechi Iheanacho seems to be on his way to Premier League rivals, Leicester F.C. This of course is as a result of the fact that the young striker has fallen low in the pecking order of strikers in Manchester City and has decided to move to a team where he is guaranteed more playing time.

Manchester City itself has gone a little bit silent on transfer issues after one of the clubs that did their transfer business much earlier than the rest of the pack.

Away from the Manchester area, Everton has been the other of the early movers in the market. They not only beat other clubs to sign the Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru that has now been loaned out to Anderlecht of recent, but have now gone on to sign another youngster.

The teenager Josh Bowler who was until recently with QPR has been signed to play for the Under-23 team in a move that suggests that Everton is already planning for a much stronger team in the nearest future.

In other news related to Everton F.C., the possibilty of a Wayne Rooney return to the team seems to be growing by the day. Reliable sources close to the club are of the opinion that the player will soon be announced as an Everton player. It is no secret that Rooney has been in talks with the Everton Manager Ronald Koeman and there are hints that a deal has been agreed upon by both parties.
Meanwhile elsewhere, West Ham’s bid to bring back Javier Hernandez to the Premier League is not going to be a walk in the park as the Bayer Leverkusen striker is demanding a £140,000-a-week package before he can agree to sign for the club. That amount of money will make him the club’s highest earner in the club. He is said to also be on the radars of Tottenham F.C. and LA Galaxy.

Incomplete without arsenal news. Is it case of anti-arsenal, Wenger or incompetence?
