Ntel, just lunch Ntel Nova. A dual sim, 3.5 inch Android 4G/LTE enable device which the company said to be “an exciting ergonomically designed, low priced, dual-SIM device defined by characteristics of both a feature phone and a smartphone.”

Ntel Nova Specification

Network
GSM / HSPA / LTE

Display
3.5 inches

Memory
1GB RAM/ 8GB ROM

Camera
5MP Rear/ 2MP Front

OS
Android v6.0 (marshmallow)

Battery
1800mAh

Price
N25,000

Other features include:
-Bluetooth and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities.
-Physical keyboard for quick typing 4 dedicated Quick Launch keys for Facebook, Internet Browser, Twitter, and WhatsApp.
-Micro USB 2.0, earphone jack and two micro SIM card
-Free bundle of 25GB Data, and 250 voice minutes to call any network, valid for one month.

Obviously we do need and want 4G service, but what those Ntel expect us to use a 3.5 inch, 1GB phone with LTE?
They also said “The entry of Ntel Nova into the device market signals a new dawn in the evolution of the Nigerian 4G/LTE segment which has been impacted by concerns around the availability and affordability of 4G/LTE-capable devices. Our investment in Ntel Nova further underscores our firm commitment to changing the game in the 4G/LTE broadband segment and to support the actualization of the penetration targets outlined in the National Broadband Plan of 2013.”

I mean for N25,000 what the game changer here? These companies should better wake up and provide something really useful for us. One of the only use of these phone is to use it has a Hotspot device, and the 25GB Data for purchasing the device.

So what you’re thought about the Ntel Nova?
