But is this virtuous woman, in essence, a man? Not on your life.

Uniquely and wonderfully female, with all the complexities implied. A woman of much strength,

The heart of her husband safely trusts in her,

Wisdom flows from her tongue and the sound of her voice issues succor to many souls

A light to her generations and models to generations unborn

Her deeds speak for her in the gates and many look up to her for safety!

BALANCING WORK AND FAMILY LIFE, TIPS FOR WORKING MOMS

The economic reality of these days requires more moms than ever to be in the workforce all over the world. Center for American Progress recalls that “women now make up half of all workers in the United States; with nearly 4 in 10 homes having a mom that is also a working mother.” Even in Nigeria, this is the hard truth; a lot of women are smart CEOs of multinationals, entrepreneurs, great professionals in different fields of their callings. It is also glaring that women are now discovering themselves and contribute a lot to the financial advancement of their homes, states and country as a whole. It is worthy of note that whilst women are doing so well in contributing a great deal to the finance of their homes, women should always remember that the home front must always be well-managed. Hence, we are faced with the reality of balancing work and family life.

Being a full-time working mother can lead to feelings of guilt and stress because of divided attention between work and family. Here are tips to help make sure that your career or business and your family flourish altogether.

Refusing Self-Defeat

Self-Defeat according to Merriam-Webster means to prevent one from doing or achieving something. It is an act of condemning one’s self even before a verdict is given. It is the reason why lives and destinies have been cut short, the reason for the increased rate in suicide attempt and other social vices present in our society today.

Stories of ladies who rose above challenges, refusing to accept self-defeat
Reading Farida’s story as recounted by Vanguard, has made me realized that there is no excuse whatsoever for failure in life. She outrightly stated that people with disability should know what they want and not tell employers to give them anything that is available. “Don’t ask for job on the basis of the thinking that you are nobody. Get the necessary requirement and never think that a job will be given to you just on the basis of your disability. Get the necessary requirement and see if any company will reject you”.
