The problem with Nigerians when it comes to English language is that, whenever we're ignorant about a particular thing, we tend to believe anything that comes our way. That's why when our teachers make a mistake we follow suit. Not minding what it means because it comes from our 'almighty' teacher.

Very terrible!

However, since the beginning of this "ignorant trend" and "bandwagon trend", I had series of research and what I saw was entirely different.

BRISKET according to Wikipedia, is a cut of MEAT from the breast or lower chest of BEEF or VEAL.

BRISKET is also a meat! And bones located at that breast region is called "brisket bones." OR "bones in the brisket".

You see?

Remember we are talking about CARTILAGE: That soft/bony part in meat that can be masticated or chewed with the canine of the teeth.

The application of that word(brisket bone) as cartilage is outrightly inappropriate.

And unfortunately, brisket bone cannot be found in ALL meat which is actually located in the BREAST of a cow.
We chew BISCUIT BONE in chicken, goat, turkey, bush meats, even in BONE MARROW.

QUESTION: Are we to assume that soft bone marrow should be called a brisket bone?

Capital NO!

Also, The soft bones we chew in meat, are they usually found in the breast of a goat, bush-meat or chicken?

Capital NO!

Believing this trend is one of funniest things, ever.
#ItIsCalledBiscuitBone OR "meat cracker".

SHARE and TAG your friends: tell them to stop believing in something that they don't know about.

Don't be ignorant because you are a NIGERIAN.

The idea of biscuit bone has always been for chewable bone of any sort, especially from cow or sheep. It has no direct link to the brisket. It is our Nigerian English and we need no foreign validation cos white people don't eat bones like we do and have no name for that juicy bone we chew with tuwo shinkafa and the likes

It is biscuit bone with tiny pores in it and not brisket, nothing to do with the cartilage cos that's not the bones Nigerians eat.
