BlowBack:Speaking today at the Presidential Quarterly Business Forum (PQBF) in Abuja, the Minister said instead of incurring additional debts to finance the budget, government will now make efforts to raise its revenue through taxes and others. “We need to increase our budget size, but we can’t depend on borrowing anymore, so we have to improve revenues and block leakages,” Mrs Adeosun said at the business forum. Those were her words. She never said "we must stop borrowing" . The other issue is a matter for another day. 1 Like |

This is a special appeal. We love Pres.Buhari but after this tenure, he should go and rest to enjoy his remaining years in peace. If we give him second term ,then we deliberately choose to go into trouble. 1 Like 1 Share |

Nigeria has always borrowed to fund its budgets from previous administrations. Thing is we do not generate enough revenue to fund the budget and the recovered loots takes lots of legal processes and they need to be approved by NASS before they are spent even after they have been recovered. This is why it is better we increase our revenue generation than keep on borrowing. |

BlowBack: She assumes she is talking to normal people. She still does not understand that Nigerians in Nigeria are not normal hence their difficulty is grasping the gravity of their situation. |

When PDP takes over government, please they should employ competent professionals to main sensitive positions, like finance ministry, not all these people selected based on quota system and political interest. 2 Likes |
