Yesterday, the past acting vice acting vice councillor of Obafemi Awolowo University was granted Bail with sum of #50m amongst other requirements.

A friend of mine argued how the said sum would be shared among members of the judiciary.. while another said the money is going into the federation.

Another gave an entire different argument that the money will be returned to payee when the case has been concluded.

Hence ,I decided to bring this issue to great Lawyers cum intellentia on nairaland to do Justice to it.

WHAT HAPPENED TO A BAIL FEE PAID BY A VICTIM/ACCUSED??

It should normally be returned to the payee after the conclusion of the case but sadly, things arent just as nornal in our country. Same thing applied to "bails" conditions at police stations

Really..but is there any provision that backed that up??
