I am not one! At least not yet. I'm just a Linux sysadmin aggressively looking for a job in this position. I know there are experts here with links. Pls help a brother. My expertise cut across systems automation with Ansible and bash, virtualization technologies such as KVM, Docker, Vagrant, virtualbox, system hardening etc etc . I can work remotely too if the option exist. Got a degree in physics but I want to switch career to IT. Programmers please help me with links and contacts. Recruiters prefer people with industry experience and that's understandable , especially in this field. But we all gonna have to start somewhere .

How is everything? Have you been able to make the job switch to DevOps? I am currently learning DevOps and am already thinking about how I will get a real-life experience and improve my skill-set before the juicy job come.

Not yet. but I'm almost there. I'm working on how to present my views on agile development to my boss. You really need to be in IT as a developer or system engineer b4 u can make a switch. DevOP is a profession of many parts!

Thanks for the response. I will keep searching because my main concern is how to break into the IT sector; where I dey now, no dey help my matter.
