Ever since Folake Folarin-Coker launched her power fashion house, Tiffany Amber, about fifteen years ago, the acclaimed Nigerian label has been known to create timeless and exquisite pieces for the everyday woman. Exposed to different cultures at an early age, Folarin-Coker developed a curiosity for cultures which she later channeled into her love for fashion.
She has been globally recognized because of the depths of her colourful creations and it is in view of this that she has been the only African designer to grace the Mercedes Fashion week in New York two years in a row.
This has by far positioned her brand as one of the leaders in women’s fashion in Africa.
She has given back to her roots through projects like ‘Made in Africa’ created by Vogue Italia in partnership with Yoox.com as a way of selling the African market to the world.

Frank Oshodi is a vibrant man who has been in the fashion world since 1989. Starting his career as a model for many fashion houses and TV commercials, and then becoming a model manager, Oshodi has since developed into one of the best designers in Nigeria. He became popularly known when he was selected to be the make-up artist and designer that finally led Agbani Darego to her reign as Miss World 2001.
Specializing in Bide and bridesmaid garments, Oshodi still remains a force to reckon with in the Nigerian fashion scene.

Deola Sagoe is an haute couture fashion designer from Ondo State in Nigeria. She established the House of Deola Sagoe in Lagos, Nigeria, in 1989. The brand celebrates the inherent, ethnic glamour found in local African fabrics and hand-woven materials. Deola Sagoe is a fashion visionary with a unique approach to her craft that has endeared her to fans and followers all over the world.
Her love for the African glamour and prints has gained her international fans like Oprah and Will Smith. She has also gained a lot of recognition for her work with awards such as the MNET/ Anglo Gold African designs 2000 awards.
Sagoe is a mother who also holds fist degrees from the University of Miami and University of Lagos, as well as a Masters in Finance and Management. Her works speak for themselves.
She has also been able to give back to her people through the program “Catwalk the World: Fashion for Food”, which was initiated by the ‘United Nations World Food Program’.

Ohimai Atafo is an award-winning Nigerian male designer and owns Mai Atafo Inspired clothing outfit which he launched in 2007. Due to his designs that aim at portraying the Nigerian Man’s unique personality, he was awarded the Hottest New Male Designer at the City People Fashion and Style Award in 2011.
His line specializes in suits for men and glamorous red carpet dresses, and In July 2011, Mai Atafo launched “Weddings By MAI”, with which he has created the dream wedding gowns for many celebrities, winning the hearts of his female fans too. Having being in the business of fashion for about seven years, Mai is creating giant waves and is definitely not slowing down.
Atafo is a fashion artist, fashion editor, stylist, entertainment consultant and compere. He also consults as a marketing specialist, in addition to developing concepts, coordinating and producing events and TV shows.

A graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a self-made designer, her natural flare for fashion and unique sense of style has led her to great heights.
Since 2005, Lisa Folawiyo, founder of Jewel by Lisa, has been crafting the most wonderful collections and infusing Ankara in the most non-traditional yet super couture ways. She uses the highest grade Ankara fabrics from the Vlisco Hollandais brand to concoct the perfect mixtures of material.
She has also ventured into the production of her own line of fabrics and accessories, ranging from jewelries to purses and other things.
Folawiyo has been showcased internationally in the New York Fashion week 2010, Paris Fashion Week 2010 etc. She has been reviewed internationally in Media houses like Gotham, Style.com, Women Wear Daily and more. Among her celebrity fans are Beyonce, Tasha Smith, Kelis and Eve.

Award winning Omoniyi Makun, the younger brother to comedian AY, is the brain behind Yomi Casual Clothing, a fashion line which resonates with class and panache.
According to him, he got into the profession by mistake, as fashion was never his dream and certainly not what he wanted to study. However, a mistake by his elder sister while helping to fill his JAMB form, landed him in the Fashion Department of Auchi Polytechnic.
Today, Actors, Artistes, Presenters and so many other celebrities rock his design.
He also has politicians such as Governor of Delta State, Uduagan wearing his designs.

Mudiaga Enajemo, popularly known as Mudi, did not learn the way most designers did. He did not go to a fashion school, but learnt the basics of fashion designing from a roadside tailor, who taught him how to cut and stitch.
Fast forward 22 years after, Mudi is now a household name that that has become known nationally and internationally. With the creme de la creme of the society including Richard Mofe Damijo, famed Senegalese musician and former presidential aspirant, Youssou N’dour and actor Olu Jacobs enlisted as his models; it wouldn’t be out of place to wonder if his designs are strictly for the affluent.
He also has visible outlets in Accra-Ghana, Dakar-Senegal, Johannesburg-South Africa and Nairobi-Kenya.
When asked about the secret of his success in an interview recently, he said “It is just hard work and determination. I had the drive. I was also much disciplined. Most people get carried away with success. But I am not among those who do that. I still get to my office as early as 7am no matter how stressful it may be. Discipline is a very important factor to grow.”

Bridget Awosika
Celebrated fashion designer, Bridget Awosika, is one of Nigeria’s brightest designers. She realized her passion for fashion at a very young age and went to the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York to pursue a degree in Fashion Design.
Her collections are full of fitting gowns and dresses, simple and yet elegant. Awosika keeps showing her prowess when it comes to daring cuts, draping and maneuvering fabrics.
Her clientele includes several top-notch celebrities who are accustomed to wearing her ingenious designs.
Awosika is a fast growing fashion designer whose approach to fashion has earned her good nods.

Founded in the spring of 2010, April by Kunbi is the brain child of Olakunbi Oyelese, a graduate of the renowned Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Her fashion line is one that specializes in bespoke and ready-to-wear fashion for women who place a premium on the principles of fashion, fit, and functionality.
Oyelese made her debut runway appearance in 2012 and since then she has not looked back at all. She makes everything from Evening, Cocktail dresses and Wedding Dresses to Casual wear, Sleepwear, footwear, accessories, and lingerie.
The fact that she was the one who designed popular OAP, Toke Makinwa’s wedding dress has made her more famous.

Zizi Cardow
When it comes to fashion, Zizi Cardow is one of the oldest designers that stand out tall. Since she launched her label Zizi Industrial Clothing Company in 2000, multi-award winning designer, Cardow has been able to sell the Nigerian culture and fabrics to the international scene. After her first year of breaking into the Nigerian fashion scene, Zizi won the prestigious designer of the year award at the Nigerian fashion show in 2001.This award launched her designs into the African (South Africa) and European market (Italy, France and Britain).
Added to her list of laudable achievement was her emergence as the only Nigerian representative to the fashion and art exhibition in Milan tagged AFRICANDO in 2002.
In May 2010, she celebrated ten years in the Business of fashion and was honoured by her hometown in 2011, as she was conferred the title of Ada Ejiaga Mba1 of Isuikwuato, in recognition of her immense contributions towards the growth of the community.
Zizi Cardow has given back so much to the society through many mentorship programs and has also been rewarded for these involvements with awards like African Role Model Leadership Gold Award (2007), Pillar of National Development Gold Award (2007), Nigeria Enterprise Award for Excellence (2008) and Great Legend of Africa Gold Award (2008).
